In Mrs. Harrods class, we did this activity with a book called The Great Alone. The first part to it was we read a paragraph from the book and circled adjectives and phrases. The next thing we did is go outside on the playground and made a list of stuff we see in our surroundings. The next day, we had to find a picture that best resembles the paragraph we read, and trust me, it was hard. The last thing we had to do was to write about the playground but put as little words as we could and replace the authors words with the playground words that we wrote down on the list. As you can see, this was hard, but grew myself in reading and writing.
